| Residents protest police inaction against culprits | | Death of Nagri youth | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 9 : Mysterious death of a 20- year -old youth of Nagri here in South Kathua triggered protest and residents blocked National Highway on Tuesday in front of Govt District Hospital Kathua. The youth, Ranjeet Raj (25) died of tragic accident three days ago in Nagri area, but after being seriously injured in accident he survived for few days in Hospital before succumbing to his injuries.
While demanding strict action against the culprits, the parents of the deceased claimed that police was evading any action against the culprits who were roaming scot free without any fear of law and that had forced them to hold the protest demonstration.
The blockage of the National Highway for half an hour caused massive traffic congestion. Meanwhile on the intervention of former Power Minister the blockade was opened and traffic movement was resumed.
The Hospital administration conducted the postmortem and later handed over to the family members for last rites. |
