Dogri book released | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 12: A function was organized by J&K Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) (Regd.), Jammu at Saigal Hall of J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages Jammu to release a book of Dogri poems by Krishna Magotra. N D Jamwal, a renowned litterateur was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Saujanaya Sharma, Director Tourism was the special Guest. Krishna Magotra started writing Dogri poems during late seventies and contributed her creations to Shiraaza (Dogri) and presented the poems on radio also. Ninety eight poems have been included in this book. She generally writes on human elements and has an influence of Sanaatan viewpoint in her creations. The book has been dedicated to Sant Siromani Baal Yogeshwar Ji. A paper on the book and poetry of Krishna Magotra was presented by Dr. Sat Pal Srivats. The detailed explanations and vision of the writer was described in detail in this paper. O P Sharma said that JKCCA has been organizing art & culture activities at local, state and national level. The centre is engaged in promoting all forms of art and especially fine arts, he added. The Chief Guest-N D Jamwal appreciated the efforts made by J&K Centre for Creative Arts in promoting the art & culture of the region. A large number of intellectuals including writers, musicians, actors and artists attended this function |
