Jammu, Sept 12 : In an attempt to lend helping hand to the flood victims of Kashmir, Jammu Kashmir Sikh Professionals (JKSP) in coordination with Khalsa Aid (UK), are tirelessly doing selfless service to reach every victim with rescue and relief on their own. A group of young and dedicated volunteers every day dispatches approximately 500 kilograms of relief material to Kashmir along with some members, who further hand over all material to Kashmir based volunteers at Gurudwara Shaheed Bunga, Bhagat Barzulla. From the base camp, Kashmir unit of JKSP volunteers distribute it at various accessible localities, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. “Our volunteers are working day and night rescuing people on humanitarian grounds, irrespective of caste, creed and religion along with Army and Air force. We are following the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib, which says, ‘Recognize the whole human race as one and serving humanity’,” said JKSP member Ranjit Singh. He said every day JKSP sends large amount of relief material to Kashmir. “We send relief material on needful basis and besides eatables and water, we also send emergency medicines, Masks, Baby food, Mineral Water, necessary clothes, hand sanitizer, baby diapers, chlorine tablets and sanitary napkins,” said Singh. |
