| Madan visits flood hit areas of Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 12 : Madan Lal Sharma former Minister and MP conducted an extensive tour of flood hit areas of district Rajouri and took stock of the flood like situation arisen due to torrential rains.
Sharma visited Bela Colony, Manj-akote, Dheri-layote, Patrar and listened to the grievances of the flood affected people .
He expressed grave concern over the incessant rains that have wrought havoc in the State and claimed several lives besides causing colossal damage to property.
He termed the situation very grim and demanded the joint action of Central and State Government to put things back on track. Sharma demanded immediate relief for the people affected by flash floods and heavy rains. Sharma asked the Administration to ensure that the safety of the people is ensured and the necessary steps are initiated to shift them to the safer places.
He showed his concern over the heavy rains and flash flood and asked the Deputy Commissioners to assess the loss of live stock, property and crops and provide immediate relief to the affected people. |
