Jammu, Sept 12: Mahila Congress Jammu President and MLA Indu Pawar today visited flood affected areas in and around Jammu and visited Sure Chak, Sainik Colony, Miran Sahib, Begga Bera, Gujjar Nagar and Prem Nagar. A team led by Congress MLA Indu Pawar visited the victims whose houses has been damaged and people have no shelter at present. "Though administration has taken up works for providing relief but the pace of relief operations need to be accelerated and medical teams should also visit and advice people about prevention of water born diseases.
Congress MLA appealed local Mahila congress workers to rise to the occasion and help the sufferers by way of helping in the damages to the teams of administration and no soul should remain uncompensated who had suffered loss. Prabha Slathia, Sita, Rita, Suman,Suman Choudhary, Vandana and Geeta Devi and others also accompanied their senior leader. |
