Vinod Sharma launches construction work of drains, lanes 9/18/2014 10:35:17 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 18: Vinod Sharma, General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), today launched construction work of drains and lanes at Ward No. 17, in Sarwal locality of New Plot Jammu. Speaking on the occasion Sharma expressed satisfaction that essential services like, electricity and drinking water have been restored in the City and now the JMC should concentrate on repair of lanes and drains in order to improve hygienic condition of the City. He said that the lanes and drains have been extensively damaged in the recent rains and flood in Ward No.17, Sarwal and there was a general demand of the people of the area that the lanes/drains in their locality should be repaired/constructed, immediately. Keeping in view the dilapidated condition of these lanes/drains and demand of the people, the construction work has started today. He further said that Congress party is committed for the service of people irrespective of caste, creed, region or religion and cautioned the people to beware from those elements who divide the society on the name of region and religion and stressed that communal harmony should be maintained at any cost and asked the Congress workers to go to the people at the grass root level at this hour of crises, listen their problems and bring it to the notice of party high command for redressal.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
