| 50 percent Botany lecturers overstaying in city colleges | | Influential flouting transfer policy to their whims | | Akshay Azad
Jammu, Sept 18: A glance at the list of 70 college lecturers in Botany has revealed that the affluent college lecturers have been twisting the transfer policy as per their whims and to retain their choicest postings, repeated modification and transfer orders are being issued by Higher Education department, allegedly in lieu of pecuniary benefits.
In response to RTI application, the Higher Education Deptt has revealed that out of 70 Botany lecturers 36 have been overstaying in colleges, while an interesting revelation is that, influential lecturers kept on camping in the chambers of politicians and bureaucrats of Higher Education department to secure their placement at their choicest post, allegedly by pleasing them in various ways.
First in the list is Pushap Kant Rao, who has been staying in GDC Kathua for the last 17 years, while Seeman Kotwal, posted at WC Parade has been staying in Jammu city for the last 15 years. Kotwal had been serving in GGM Science College from 10/99 to 3/2001 and from 3/2001 to 4/2013 she remained posted at WC Gandhi Nagar and since 4/13, she is in WC Parade.
Sujman Bala has been posted at WC Gandhi Nagar for the last 14 years since 9/2000, followed by Bagh Hussain who has been serving in GDC Poonch for the last 13 years, while Bharti Razdan has been staying in city colleges for the last more than 11 years. Razdan remained posted at WC Parade from 6/2003 to 7/2011 and for a brief period 7/2011 to 8/2012 she remained posted at GDC Kathua but secured posting at GGM Science college in 8/2012.
Shameem Ahmad Azad has been posted at GDC Rajouri for the last 11 years, while Veena Tandon, posted at WC Parade has been serving in Jammu city for the last 10 years. Tandon remained posted at WC Gandhi-Nagar from 11/2004 to 6/2012 and again transferred to WC Parade.
Shayat Kumar has been working in Jammu city for the last around 10 years (since 2004), but for few months he was posted SP College Srinagar from 7/11 to 9/12 but got his attachment at GGM Science College and again posted at WC Parade, while as Anita Gupta, presently posted at WC Parade, has been overstaying in Jammu city for the last 10 years.
Rajinder Kumar has also been overstaying in Jammu city for the last 10 years. He remained posted at SP College Srinagar from 7/2011 to 9/2012 and secured attachment in GGM Science college and remained there five months and in 4/2013 he secured posting at WC Gandhi Nagar.
Moreover, Ashni Devi has been overstaying in WC Udhampur for the last nine years, while Rohni Devi posted at GGM Science College, Bimla Devi, GGM Science college have been overstaying for the last eight years.
Tahira Firdos, posted at WC Gandhi Nagar, Harvinder Kour posted at GDC Poonch, Anwar Shah posted at GDC Rajouri, Kulvinder Kour posted at WC Parade have been overstaying in their respective colleges for the last 7 years, while Neena Sharma posted at GGM Science, Jyoti Parihar posted at GDC Bhaderwah, Indeewar Chanyal posted at WC Gandhi Nagar have been overstaying for the last six years.
Shama Vohra posted at GGM Science College, Veena Kumari Sumbira posted at GDC Paloura, S Mohinder Singh posted at GGM Science college, Hardiyal Singh posted at WC Gandhi Nagar, Gulam Abbas GDC Rajouri, Ramesh Kumar Atri posted at GDC Udhampur, Rozy Bamba posted at WC Gandhi nagar, Neeti Chibber posted at GGM Science college, Sandeep Kotwal posted at GDC Bhaderwah, Fasil Mushtaw posted at GDC Kithwar, Satish Kumar posted at GDC Kishtwar, Sandeep Kumar posted at GDC Bhaderwah, Usha Devi posted at WC Kathua have been overstaying at the home towns for the last five years.
S. Mohinder Singh was posted at GGM Science college from 8/2006 to 8/2011 and was transferred to GDC Ramnagar but remained there from 8/2011 to 2/2012 and again transferred to RS Pura from 2/2012 to 4/2012 and retained his posting once again to GGM Science college since 4/2013.
Moreover, Sangeeta Nagari posted at WC Gandhi Nagar, Javaid Iqbal posted at GDC Bhaderwah, Asia Rashid Bhat posted at GDC Rajouri for the last four years. |
