Jamia Zia Ul Uloom sends relief material to valley

Poonch, Sept 18: Islamic seminary namely Jamia Zia Ul Uloom Poonch expressing solidarity with the flood victims in valley has dispatched the first consignment of the much needed essential commodities towards valley.
The relief material including 27000 milk packets, 19000 water bottles beside 5 quintal fresh vegetables loaded in 14 vehicles was sent via historic Mughal Road here today.
Here it needs to mention that Jamia is having a separate wing for conducting charity and welfare activities under the name Imdad-ul-Mustahiqeen which actively is working for people in distress since the past sixteen years. On this occasion, SSP Poonch Shamsheer Hussain flagged off the vehicles in the presence of Mohtamim Jamia Janab Maulana Ghulam Qadir Sahib.
Apart from this Jamia has also organized three camps have already been conducted and the fourth one will be conducted in the village Arai tomorrow. Jamia has also provided financial assistance of Rs 5000/- to the next of those who have lost their precious lives in the recent floods in Rajouri and Poonch. The chairperson of Tanzeem, Hazrat Maulana Sayeed A Habib is also visiting valley alongside the young volunteers to distribute the relief among the victims.
Maulana also extended gratitude to the whole citizens of Poonch alongside the students and staff of Jamia for cooperating on such a large scale. On this pious occasion, various civil society members like K.K Kapoor, Pradeep khanna, Narinder Singh Talwar, Bashir Khaki, Harbhajan Singh, Maulana Shafi Bazaz and Mohd Faiz and Sadiq wasil were present.
Maulana Sayeed extended thanks to those who had joined in missionary mission of Jamia and also said that this mission will be carry forward until the last affected person been given some amount of relief.
Maulana Ghulam Qadir said Organization has sent a token amount of Rs 2.00 lakh for the Assam riots victims besides helping the earthquake victims of Gujarat and J&K simultaneously. Maulana also appeal to the whole nation that, everyone should stand with Kashmir in this critical time.
