Jammu, Sept 18: Continuing its drive against gamblers and drug traffickers, Police today apprehended five gamblers alongwith stake money upto the tune of Rs 11,800/0 during a raid conducted at Nursery near New Stadium Samba "On specific input a police party headed by Inspector Ravinder Parihar, SHO P/S Samba under the supervision of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba and Vijay Pal Singh, DySP HQ Samba conducted raid at Nursery near New Stadium Samba, nabbed five gamblers, police said. Police spokesperson said, " The accused have been identified namely as Puneet Gupta of Ward No 2 Samba, Sachin Sharma of Ward No 5 Samba , Sandeep kumar of Ward No 7 Samba, Saatish Kumar of Ward No 3 Samba and Sachin Sharma of Ward No. 6, Samba". "Police also recovered Rs 11800/ as gambling amount (akadi) along with playing cards from the spot and all the accused were booked under 13 Gambling Act, police spokesperson said. |
