Kishtwar, Nov 15 : Minister of State for I&C and NC candidate from 51-Kishtwar Assembly constituency Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo today described the creation of new administrative units as a revolutionary step of National Conference (NC) that will change the face of future governance and ensure development of remote and far-flung areas of the State on equal footing. He added that people of J&K will remember National Conference and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for creating and making functional new administrative units that will bring in micro-development in a geographically hostile State like J&K.
Kichloo said this while addressing several meetings during his election campaign trail at Dool, Nagseni and Padder. He said that while previously there was only one tehsil Padder, now, after the creation of new administrative units, there are 4 tehsils and one Sub Division from Dool to Machail, Padder. Addressing large gatherings at several places, Kichloo hailed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his visionary policies that were aimed to make governance more effective, accountable, transparent and hassle-free for people residing in all three regions of the State. He said that the new administrative units will remove hurdles in speedy administrative decisions and bring succour to the lives of people residing in inaccessible and hostile terrain of the State including Kishtwar district.
Describing J&K National Conference as a public movement that has always worked for safeguarding the interests of the people of the State, Kichloo, who is seeking his third straight terms as MLA from Kishtwar constituency, stated that he and his party will always work to usher in a new era of development in Kishtwar constituency. " NC has always takes people along and made them partners in decision making Together, we have seen several challenges being thrown at us and every time we have come out unscathed," he said and added that his party has the backing of the people of the State and will emerge victorious in the coming elections.
Kichloo said that by enacting J&K Public Services Guarantee Act, NC-led Government empowered the people to demand public services in a stipulated time frame fixed for such services under the Act. "We have made the administration accountable to the people and legally bound to deliver services in a stipulated time frame," he said, adding the PSGA will rid the State from the scourge of corruption and delay in delivery of justice in the days to come.
Kichloo also highlighted several flagship programmes and schemes started and completed by the NC Government in various sectors for equitable and comprehensive development of J&K State. He said that his Government ensured targeted development of tourism, power and industrial sectors, which besides improving the profile of the State, has generated great opportunities of employment for local youth in the State.
