Early Times Report kathua, Nov 15: A Medical camp for civilian population was organised by 97 Bn BSF at village Manyari, district Kathua yesterday. The Medical camp was inaugurated by Rajesh Kumar Gurung, DIG, Sector HQ BSF, Indreshwar Nagar, district Jammu. During medical camp, 410 patients were examined and medicines free of cost were distributed to them. The villagers including men, women and children with different ailments were examined. Dr. K.S. Kumar, Commandant/CMO SG, Dr. Kumud Divgyan, Dr. Meena Chaudhary and Dr. Ritu examined the patients. It was observed that most of the patients were suffering from skin diseases, respiratory diseases, worm infestations, malnutrition etc. Dr. K.S. Kumar delivered a lecture to the local people about prevention of diabetes mellitus, water borne diseases etc. Ashok Dagar, Commandant, 97 Bn BSF was also present during the medical camp and supervised the camp. He told the people that many more such camps shall be organised in near future. Prominent citizens of the area expressed their gratitude towards Border Security Force for extending such facilities to them at their doorsteps. |
