JAMMU, Nov 14: World famous Bhajan composer and singer, Vinod Agarwal Ji is going to perform live in "Bhajan Sandhya" Concert at Holy "Samadhi Sathal" of His Holiness Shree Dewarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj on 16th November, 2014 (Sunday).
While giving details of the mega concert at a Press Conference here today, Swami Gangadhar Ji Maharaj, son and direct disciple of Shree Dewarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj, informed that the "Bhajan Sandhya" concert is being solemnized in the loving memory of Shree Shastri Ji Maharaj at the Holy Samadhi Sathal on 16th November, 2014.
"The grand concert, which is part of birthday celebrations of Shree Dewarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj, being celebrated on 25th December every year, will start at 8.00 PM on 16th November and shall continue till 4.00 AM onwards next day," he apprised.
He further informed that a highly experienced team of accompanists would also be performing with Vinod Agarwal Ji on Tabla, Dholak, Sarangi, Sitar and other musical instruments.
"Along with this, there will be performances by some other noted Sufi and Bhajan singers as well as religious scholars, who have also consented to be performing at the venue on the same day," Swami Ji said.
Replying to a query regarding purpose of organizing such religious concerts and ceremonies, he said, "While living a household life, we don't get ample time to enchant the sacred name of Almighty God, who remains Centre of each and every activity in the world, and by taking part in religious concerts and ceremonies, we can have the taste of love and devotion for the Supreme God head, besides, getting rid of ill effects of our bad karmas."
"There always remains a need to purify our hearts and minds on daily basis, as we do other activities every day," he said and added, "By enchanting Almighty God's name while performing our duties, we can reach the goal of life i.e., success, prosperity and whatever else we desire for."
