| PDP complaints against Congress for violating MCC | | | Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, Nov 15: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today alleged that Congress was violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in whole Bhaderwah constituency by trying to influence the voters by bribing them.
In a emergency meeting held here , PDP district President DodaPritam Singh Kotwal , Zonal President Bhaderwah Thakur Yudvir Singh and City President Shokat Malik demanded strict action against Congress candidate for alleged violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and alleged that he is trying to influence voters in Bhalessa area of Bhaderwah constituency by distributing medicines , blankets, cement bags and cell phones which were seized by Police yesterday and claimed all seized material belongs to Congress party contesting candidate . PDP leaders claimed Congress candidate had loose his ground in Bhalessa and Bhaderwah so he is using cheap tactics to woo the voters and it is the responsibility of the Election Commission to investigate the matter of seizure of trucks with lakhs of goods in them ."We request the Commission to take action against Congress candidate for influencing the voters and there are apprehensions that seize material belongs to Congress and EC should keep a strict vigil in rural belts of Bhalessa and Charalla ," the PDP leaders added . They also informed that they have bring issue of violation of Model Code of Conduct in the notice of Observer 54 and have complaint against them also and criticized Congress for failure on all fronts in Bhaderwah constituency and also appealed to people to be ready on 25 of Nov to flush out Congress from whole constituency like other parts of the nation and end the density rule . |
