Contesting candidates conduct door-to-door campaign 11/19/2014 11:04:08 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Nov 19: Contesting candidates of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Congress, Rajiv Jasrotia and Babu Singh today conducted door-to-door campaign. BJP candidate Rajiv Jasrotia along with his supporters visited Keerian Gandyal Panchayats and appealed masses to vote BJP to power. Rajiv Jasrotia assured the people that development of these two Panchayats for which these Panchayats deserves. Jasrotia was also given the full assurance of healthy support by the people. In his speech, Jasrotia pledged to launch a special development drive for the most dissociated part of constituency situated on the bank of Ravi River if gets an opportunity to secure his seat in state assembly from Kathua constituency. Whereas supporters of Congress candidate Babu Singh are also ready to fix neck to neck fight and it is heavily banking on it door-to-door campaign - one of its tried and tested poll strategies of assembly election of 2001. A close associate and hard core campaign committee member Ashok Khajuria says that around 7,000 locals joined the Babu Singh as his volunteers/supporters and are engaged in door-to-door campaigns. "We are going to those villages and the corners which politicians have never visited. The response is fantastic," he said. The people seems to be fascinated with the Modi brand of development which is BJP's selling point in the campaign has reached as dull and irrelevant and even taking last breathe have watched closely and started to come down from this biggest track of illusion resulting Babu Singh has been accepted as more relevant and rational MLA candidate of Kathua constituency, Khajuria said. Supporters Daya Ram, Sarpanch Badala Panchayat Yash Paul Raina, Sarpanch Changran Panchayat Changran, Sarpanch Barwal Porkhi, Sarpanch Panchayat Khanerah Sansar Singh, Schedlue caste leader Dr. Karam Chand, and Sahib Singh told that Babu Singh at least not the agent of corporate world and capitalist forces, he is biggest strength of poor and downtrodden people.
