| 2 years on, department fails to take action on complaints | | vPDD employee secured job on forged documents | | Arun Singh

Jammu, Nov 19: Call it apathy or connivance, the Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to act against a cheater, who managed to secure job in the department on the basis of forged documents, even after the lapse of two years since the revelation of this fraud.
Documents in possession of Early Times reveal that one Sadhu Ram son of Punnu Ram resident of House No 28 Ward No 7 Bishnah, who is presently posted at Bishnah with the office of AEE Maintenance and RE Sub Division No IV managed to secure job in PDD by forging his name as Kaka Ram in his school leaving certificate and Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC).
The documents further revealed that there was no such person with the name of Kaka Ram residing at the said address and in the said family rather a person who put up there is Sadhu Ram son of Punnu Ram who is employed in the PDD.
Even the copy of land records of registration/ cancelation record of year 1970 allottee of village Dhaler tehsil Bishnah of this family showed the name of Sadhu Ram son of Punnu Ram and there was no mention of any Kaka Ram as Sadhu Ram is his actual name. As per land record of 1954, his age has been recorded of 18 years old whereas in his school leaving certificate his age is mentioned 18/11/1958 which means he was born before 1954 as per land record.
The documents disclosed that in the latest voter list published in 2013 the whole family of Sadhu Ram has been enlisted from voter serial number 114 to 119 and Sadhu Ram has been mentioned father as well as husband and there was no person mentioned with the name of Kaka Ram.
Interestingly, after the revelation of his fraud with the document in getting job, Sadhu Ram admitted his mistake that his name in PRC and school leaving certificate has been wrongly written and produced a representation before the department signed by local sarpanch and panch to authenticate his identity despite the fact that these persons are not authorized to ascertain the identity of any person.
Even the discrepancies in school leaving certificate were shocking, as per the certificate which he managed on fake name of Kaka Ram son of Punnu Ram from one Fine Wood Academy Bhour Camp Chatha Satwari is 20 kilometers from his residence nearly 45 years back and date of birth has been mentioned 18/11/1958 whereas in the land record of 1954 his age is mentioned 18 years.
As far as his permanent resident certificate is concerned, incharge PRC section Bishnah said that there is no such record available with his office in the name of Kaka Ram and similarly Naib Tehsildar General record Jammu also endorsed the claim of Incharge PRC section and in this regard SDPO RS Pura was assigned the job to give his report which is pending and no action has been taken till date. The complaint was also registered with Chief Engineer PDD but department is still unmoved due to unknown reasons. |
