Feeble Cong fails to conceal cracks | | | Cracks were visible distinctly within the Congress leadership even as the party is facing an uphill task to save its credibility and political legacy ahead of the crucial elections to the State Assembly in Jammu and Kashmir. Former Chief Minister and Ghulam Nabi Azad and JKPCC president Saif-ud-Din Soz did not only speak in different voices, their efforts to avoid each other were little too conspicuous. While Soz failed to make it to the press conference when Azad and Ambica Soni were addressing the scribes, Azad left the conference as soon as Soz entered the venue only to join at the tea that followed the event. Besides, Soz who spoke in the absence of Azad did not make a single mention of the two and a half year tenure of Congress during its coalition with the PDP when latter was the Chief Minister, despite the fact that Congress had been selling Azad's tenure as the period of development and good governance in all three regions of the state. |
