ICT based FDP concludes at ICCCR & HRM, JU | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 5: A five-day ICT based Faculty Development Programme (FDP) organized by the International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICCCR & HRM), University of Jammu, in collaboration with the National Institute for Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, from December 1, concluded today. The focal theme of the FDP was 'Communication Skills: Instructional Planning and Delivery', in teaching-learning process. ICCCR & HRM, University of Jammu joined hands with NITTTR, Chandigarh with an objective to train the faculty members in various facets of instructional planning and delivery methods. All the sessions during the five-day training programme were through interactive mode wherein the resource persons delivered lectures and tutorials through virtual setup and video-conferencing facility available at ICCCR & HRM using Google Hangouts. The training programme was hosted at ETV Studios, Chandigarh. There were three other institutions namely Sunrise Group of Institutions, Jaipur; Manda Institute of Technology, Bikaner and Chandigarh University, Gharuan which participated in the FDP simultaneously being conducted through interactive ICT mode. The programme aimed at mentoring the faculty for the appropriate conduct of classroom teaching. The programme was attended by the 26 faculty members from University of Jammu across disciplines of Management, Law, Statistics, History and Computer Sciences. Dr. Pallvi Arora, Assistant Professor, ICCCR & HRM, was the Programme Coordinator. |
