Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 5: The growing popularity of Modi has shaken Omar Abdullah to such an extent that he is ready to support PDP candidates in Gool Arnas and other areas which are going to polls shortly. Omar in a statement said that to stop BJP coming to power in state, he is even ready to support PDP candidates and may withdraw NC candidates from that area so that BJP and Congress may not win the seats.
He further said that to stop saffron party, he can take any recourse. As per information available with Early Times, Omar has also started playing the so called communal card and instead of seeking votes in the name of development, he talks about Article 370 and other similar stuff. Basically, he seems scared of massive population of people in elections. It is pertinent to mention here, he and his party colleagues appealed to Geelani for boycott call which so far proved to be a total failure. BJP candidate from Amira Kadal constituency, Hina Bhat said that majority of people in valley have infact started realizing that Modi and his team can deliver in much better way and in a transparent manner. She further said NC has always used different yardsticks for different occasion and this time too, seeing the blooming of lotus in valley makes Omar and his men nervous. The people of Kashmir in particular and state in general want change at any cost. Ravinder Sharma, Congress spokesperson said that NC has already accepted defeat and Omar's statement on supporting PDP candidate is an indication towards it. He further said that people of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh will give befitting reply to him in assembly elections. Is Omar really nervous of BJP and wanted also to defeat Congress, is really a change of strategy towards both national parties in general and BJP in particular.
