12/8/2014 10:15:19 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 8:Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and party's official candidate for Jammu West Assembly segment Daman Bhasin today nominated Shiv Kumar Sharma as Ward President Ward number 40 here at Tallab Tillo Jammu.
Bhasin addressed series of meetings in Ward number 40 where prominent people of the locality joined PDP. Among the new entrant who joined hands with PDP were Subash Chander, Rajinder Sharma, Uttam Chand Bhatiya, Gurvinder Bhatia, Raj Kumar and others.
Bhasin also launched extensive door-to-door campaigning in Ward Number 30 area where he asked voters to vote for a contesting candidate on the basis of his previous merits. He said he would have praised the BJP MLA if there was visible development but according to Bhasin, the local MLA has done nothing exemplary in the constituency.
"Claimed achievement by the incumbent MLA is apparent from the potholes, dusty and dilapidated roads", adding the public outcry in summers for aberrant power cuts and limited supply of water is another achievement of the incumbent MLA.
"The ruling MLA has created history by getting involved in cross-voting scam in lieu of money for which he faced the ire of party along with six other MLAs", said Bhasin. He said the rejoining of the MLA in chair into the BJP fold also proved his lust for power.
He added that PDP has a history of doing numbers of works especially employment to numbers of unemployed youth during the tenure of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister of the state in education as well as other sectors. Bhasin appealed voters to defeat the party having history of cheating people either in the name of religion or false developmental claims and enthused them to vote in favour of PDP in the assembly elections. Other senior leaders who accompanied Bhasin in the campaigning process were R. K. Bali, Vikas Bhatti, Davinder Dogra, Sham Bhaghat, Balwan Kumar Ballu, Ashok Jain, Ashutosh Kumar, Rajni Sharma, Sanjeev Gupta, Vikram Singh, Rajat Gupta, Sunil and Ramesh Tak.
