Who advised Prime Minister against shouting Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Jai Hind slogans in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Dec 8: Leaders of Jammu and Kashmir BJP have once again failed to give proper feedback to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as there was no slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Jai Hind after Prime Minister concluded his first ever election rally in Kashmir Valley. Shouting Bharat Mata Ki Jai thrice is routine affair in every politically rally of Narendra Modi but this slogan was missed in today's rally. The Prime Minister ended his address by extending thanks to the people of Kashmir valley for attending his rally. Credible sources in the BJP said that some local BJP leaders, who have hijacked the party these days, have reportedly advised central leadership of BJP against shouting any patriotic slogan during Prime Minister's rally. These leaders cautioned that shouting Jai Hind or Bharat Mata Ki Jai would prove counterproductive during elections in Kashmir Valley so it is better that Prime Minister should avoid raising these patriotic slogans. Credible sources in the BJP said these days some outsiders have virtually captured the party and these leaders have influenced a central leader who is playing an important role in J&K elections. This central leader is completely working on the direction of this coterie which is setting agenda of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir. Credible sources did not ruled out possibilities of some members of this coterie are in touch with Congress to spoil BJP's chance of getting respectable seats. The PM Modi was force to speak about concerns of the Jammu after the BJP was being targeted by Congress for appeasing Kashmiri especially separatists. The PMO office on receiving feed back from the Jammu and after analysing the mood communicated to the Modi sources said to change the discourse of his political speech. It was after this Modi decided to speak about the discrimination with the Jammu region. "The Congress was going hammer and tongs at the BJP. This made the party nervous. Modi was debriefed and also about the wrong feedback given by his key person in the J&K," said a senior BJP leader. The Congress especially the Sham Lal Sharma has been repeatedly targeting the BJP even to appease hardcore separatists Geelani, who Sharma had said has been only pursuing anti-India agenda at the behest of his mentors in Pakistan. The PM according to sources was also briefed that unless course correction is made in the middle it is likely to cost the party especially in the seats where BJP has high hopes. "The feedback received is that BJP is in trouble spot. The leaders even the so called new political stalwarts have given wrong brief and taken wrong political turns. Had this been continued the party would have been in serious trouble," said the official. It was because of this reason, Modi was forced to make an extra mile to reach out to the people of the Jammu. This was the reason he decided to make mention of Dogra ideals and also touched the issues which are closed to the Jammu region, which only can give real political push to the party. |
