Omar takes to twitter, blames everyone, including Cong for making PM's rally in Srinagar a success
Modi makes local politicians feel 'insecure'

ET Report
SRINAGAR, Dec 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi making a passionate appeal to people of Jammu and Kashmir to repose their faith in Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) once and get rid of the "Family Raaj" prevalent in the state for the past 60-years has created ripples in the camps of the regional parties here.
The Prime Minister Modi during the past six months has made it a point to visit JK once in a month and reach out to people. He has earned the distinction of being the only Prime Minister in the recent past to visit the state so frequently.
Experts are of the opinion that Modi paying due attention to Jammu and Kashmir has made the local politicians "insecure" and they have started believing that changed policy of the Modi government in the centre can turn them irrelevant. "History stands testimony to the fact that till date Kashmiri politicians have extracted maximum political mileage by boasting about their close proximity with the leaders in New Delhi," said an expert.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's straight forward approach and his desire to get closer to people of Kashmir rather than the handful of politicians has become a cause of worry for the local leaders.
Since the day Modi led Government has come into power in the centre top BJP leaders and ministers have visited Jammu and Kashmir frequently and their efforts have not gone in a vain. They have succeeded in enrolling good number of people in the party and have also roped in the leaders of small parties. The Modi led government has shifted its focus from a few politicians towards the people of JK who have been ignored by the successive regimes during the past six decades.
Modi addressing an impressive gathering in Srinagar today despite the Valley witnessing series of militant attacks ahead of his mega rally has unnerved many politicians, including the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Omar taking to twitter after seeing so many people depicted his "anger" and "frustration" as he couldn't digest the fact that Prime Minister Modi had "intruded" into his territory and people in thousands had turned up to listen to him.
It's for the first time in the past 60 years that a national party has organized such huge rallies in JK without the support of the Kashmir based parties. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has led from the front and has succeeded in dispelling the myth that only regional parties can rule JK and Kashmiri only can be the Chief Minister. Modi's bold posturing has even shaken Pakistan as its finding it hard to put its act together since the day BJP led dispensation has taken over Delhi.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "When the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee addressed the rally at the same venue, where Modi appeared today, in 2002 the People’s Democratic Party which was in power in JK that time claimed that event would not have been possible without its help. Similarly when the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh addressed a few rallies in Kashmir during the past six years NC left no stone unturned to claim that the gatherings were made possible due to its efforts."
The analyst said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing huge rallies in Jammu and Kashmir during the ongoing election campaign has left the regional parties "dumbfounded" and they are looking for means and ways to counter Modi led BJP in the state.
