APSCC Kashmir hails Jagmohan Singh Raina's joining into PDP fold 12/8/2014 10:55:12 PM Early Times Report jammu, Dec 8: Different constituents of All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee today hailed the stand of Committee Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina of supporting Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the assembly elections and said that this support is based on the failure of National Conference-Congress government to mitigate sufferings of Sikh community of the state. In a joint statement, Presidents of different Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committees (GPCs) and other Sikh leaders said that Sikhs can no more be fooled by leaders of National Conference and Congress. The leaders said that NC and Congress leaders have lost credibility to seek votes from Sikh community since they did not fulfill their demands for a long time. The statement has been issued by Devinder Singh, President Aloochi Bagh Gurdwara Committee, Mohinder Singh, Joint Secretary, GPC Budgam, Kuldeep Singh, President Dharamshala Singhan, Khampur Sarie Budgam, Kashmira Singh, Secretary GPC, Palpora Anantnag and Kishanjeet Singh GPC Batmaloo. Senior Sikh leaders like Dr. Jaipal Singh Bali and Engineer Nirmal Singh also hailed the constructive approach of APSCC in projecting the problems of Sikh community. "The present coalition government in the state failed to conduct the Gurdwara Prabhandhak elections. This is despite the fact that chief minister Omar Abdullah made commitment in this regard with the people at Gurdwara Chatti Padshahi last year. The elections have to be conducted after every six years but no such election has been conducted over the past 11 years.
