Bhaderwah, Dec 8: Renowned educationist, teacher Saleema Perveen Batt passed away at a private hospital in Mumbai today where she was under treatment from the last some months. According to press release, she was 40 years , her husband Tariq Batt is presently Assistant Food Controller Doda district and is also a well known poet ,scholar, novelist and literary critic of Chenab valley who had also played different roles in various TV serials aired on DD Kashir . She was also an acclaimed literary critic and orator who wrote and spoke extensively on a variety of topcis and issues, including literature and education like his husband and was also a religious lady and was also known for simplicity,high thinking and honesty in education department . Saleema Begum was the daughter of well-known social activist Abdul Razaq Sheikh and daughter in law of Gh Mohd Batt a famous poet of Kashmiri language from Bhaderwah . |
