Srinagar, Dec 10 : Some constituencies which witnessed brisk to moderate polling during third phase may throw up surprises for political parties as the results may take some lesser known candidates to the house. Fate of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who is contesting from Beerwah of Budgam will be decided by Shia vote bank numbering around 20,000 but keeping in view the reasons of Omar's Shift from Ganderbal to Beerwah it won't be easy for him to defeat sitting MLA Muhammad Shafi Wani and Nazir Ahmad of Congress who remained glued with people of Beerwah during last six years when Omar was in Ganderbal. Pampore of South Kashmir's Pulwama District where 46.48 %polling was recorded also voted for a change. Anti-incumbency against sitting MLA Zahoor Ahmed Mir may go against him.
Rajpora of Pulwama recorded 47.06 per cent polling to decide the fate of sitting MLA Peer Bashir who was denied ticket and decided to contest independently, Dr Haseeb Drabu of PDP, Ghulam Mohi ud Mir of NC and Peer Bashir. In North Kahsmir, Taj Mohi-ud-din enjoying frequent success from Uri where 79 per cent polling was recorded may also sit at home this time and either Shafi Uri of NC or Raja Ajaz Ali of PDP may make it to Assembly as fresh voters also voted for a change. In Sangrama around 3000 bogus would play a major role. It is very difficult to predict anybody's fate. Likewise Tangmarg which remained den of Ghulam Hassan mir recorded 72 per cent polling and this time constituency may throw a surprise for Hassan Mir and one among the rest of three namely Mustafa Kamal of NC, Abas Wani of PDP and independent Shabir Ahmad may make it to Assembly.
