PM to address rally in Rajouri on Dec 13 | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Dec 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address his maiden rally at Rajouri city scheduled to be held on December 13, said BJP state vice president and member election campaign committee Vibodh Gupta. Pertinent to mention here that district administration as well as Central Intelligence agencies were not finding the safer place in Rajouri city for holding PM's public rally and once there were speculations that on security point of view PM's rally may be shifted either to some other place or may be cancelled. But the local BJP leadership was adamant to hold the PM's public rally at Rajouri and was also pressurizing the authorities to select suitable venue in and around Rajouri city. After several meetings with officials of the central intelligence agencies and BJP leadership it was decided to hold the rally near Muradpur village on Jammu-Poonch highway about 4 kilometers from Rajouri city. But on Tuesday Ram Madhav, BJP general secretary who visited the venue during his Rajouri tour cancelled the venue and directed the district administration to hold rally at new bus stand ground. Terming it to be a mega event in the history of Rajouri district in general and the Rajouri city in particular, Vibodh Gupta said, "After former PM HD Deve Gowda, Narendra Modi is the only Prime Minister who has been addressing an election rally at Rajouri nearly after two decades. It is very good sign and an indication that overall development of J&K state is o the top of the agenda of BJP lead Union Government and the state will witness tremendous development under the leadership of Modi." He also appealed the people of all the four constituencies of the district irrespective of any cast, creed, colour and religion to attend the rally to make it a mega even. "PM will address the gathering at 1 P.M and all the BJP workers and supporters are feeling jubilant and contributing their best to make this event a success. Modi's address at Rajouri will strengthen the prospectus of all the BJP candidates contesting from 4 constituencies of the district," said Vibodh. |
