One held for uploading 'inflammable post' on WhatsApp

rajouri, Dec 10: Taking prompt action against mischievous mongers to create tensions in region that too ahead of Prime Minister's visit to Rajouri district, the police under the supervision Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Haseeb Mughal, have arrested a youth reportedly an activist of People Democratic Party (PDP) for uploading objectionable contents on social networking group WhatsApp. According to police sources, the arrested youth has been identified namely as Jawaid Mirza s/o Mohd Haneef r/o Behrot actively operating WhatsApp number 8803258270.
SSP Rajouri, Dr Hasseb Mugal said that the youth was arrested after proper investigation on the general information provided by the WhatsApp users.
"On December 8, at about 9.45 pm Jawaid Mirza uploaded a message along with a picture on WhatsApp group in a name and style of 'PP Press Council Rajouri', he said adding, "this message was reportedly deliberately and purposely uploaded by the Jawaid , who is reportedly an activist of People Democratic Party' to create communal tension ahead of scheduled visit of Prime Minister to Rajouri city on December 13.' The contents of the message reads:
'A mosque over a land at Ahmadabad in Gujarat for which dispute was continue for the last 20 years has been dismantled by Modi Sarkar on yesterday .Media has not yet flashed this information. Share this information along with photo to as many as users so that heat can reach to Modi Sarkar)
"Keeping in view the potential of the message to create religious and political disturbances the district and more so when VVIP (Modi's) visit is on cards, police acted swiftly and arrested Jawaid Mirza" said SSP Rajouri.
"The accused has been booked under section 66A Information Technology (IT) Act at Rajouri police station in FIR No 634/14,' he said and added that Police after registering a formal case further have started investigations
