| Hizb commander gives slip to security forces: Reports | | | Early Times Report
kishtwar, Dec 14: Top cadre Hizb a self styled commander Mohammad Amin Butt alias Jahangir Saroori today reportedly has managed to give a slip to a security forces in Kishtwar District after remaining trapped in a police and army cordon for nearly five days.
As per the details available with "Early Times" on the bases of specific input, Kishtwar police and army on the other day launched a search operation in Kidroo a remote area about some 45 KM from Kishtwar main town. "During the cordon, the security forces tightened noose and got the self styled Hizb Commander trapped yet the 52 year old Hizb commander managed to give a slip to security forces by breaking the cordon and leaving security forces to return empty handed, sources said.
The sources said that 'Butt' is one of the longest surviving militant commander who got holed up many times in the security cordon but every time lady luck smiled upon him and opened gates to safety to him and left security forces in dampened spirits. Pertinently couple of years ago Jahangir had killed at least three army personals before he escaped from the security cordon at same place. A senior police official on anonymity confirmed the escape of Hizb commander active since last 25 years in the state that the army and added police have launched massive manhunt.
He however showing his optimism said they are hopeful to intercept him shortly.
Pertinent to mention here that Jahangir was involved in several subversive activities including killings and after surfacing his name in September 2011 Delhi High Court blast case, the security forces along with National Investigative Agency (NIA) launched several operations to nab him, but success continues to elude them till date.
Earlier the news of arrest of Jahangir last year also become the talk of the town, but later the arrested person was proved to be a Labour resembling to him and was accordingly released by the security forces after proper verification |
