State Council for Science, Technology organizes awareness programme 2/17/2015 10:34:17 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 17: J&K State Council for Science & Technology organized one day Awareness Programme on "Water, Sanitation and Hygiene" at Govt. Girls Hr. Secondary School, Satwari. During the Programme Principal of the institution presented his welcome address. In his address, he emphasized on the Importance of Water, clean and healthy Environment and healthy life style. The Expert Lecture was delivered by Dr. Pragya Khanna, Associate Prof. Govt. College for Women, Parade, Jammu. She focused upon the issues related to water, water diseases, where the after is and what are the problem associated with it. She awarded the students about garbage management, Sanitation and the heath risks associated with accumulation of wastes in open areas she gave the core message "Reduce , Reuse and Recycle" and produce a liitle waste. About 150 student got benefited by the said lecture.
