Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 17: The removal of Head of Department Dogri Prof Archna Kesar and suspension of three scholars who were associated with JURSEA by Jammu University, for maligning the institution by leaking out confidential matter in public domain has virtually vindicated the nexus of student body with professors having vested interest. Prof Archana Kesar was removed from headship of the Dogri department for intentionally leaking out a confidential letter written to the Controller Examination in public allegedly through Jammu University Research Scholar Executive Association (JURSEA). The action of JU taken against JURSEA members has uncovered the malicious face of this student body, which has created an anti student atmosphere in the varsity with the help of some professors of various departments in JU to achieve their personal benefits. Sources alleged that the incident of this unlawful act committed by Prof Archana Kesar is not new thing rather there has been question mark on her several decision while being on other positions in past also. Prof Kesar was holding two other important positions including Principal at Music and Fine Arts violating the government order of one man one post. Sources further alleged the conspiracy of removal of previous HoD Dogri Prof Shiv Dev Singh Manhas was allegedly hatched by JURSEA which directly benefited the Prof Kesar who replaced Prof Manhas. Later the collusion between incumbent leaders and some former leaders of JURSEA and Prof Kesar became public. Pertinently, Early Times has published several news items in past also exposing the nexus of JURSEA leaders with some faculty members and people in the administration also. However the revelation of malicious face of JURSEA of maligning JU administration and hatching conspiracy is just a tip of an iceberg. The several critics have hailed the decision of Jammu University administration of removing Prof Kesar and suspending three scholars for their deliberate and constant attempt for damaging the image of institution and termed the decision totally in the interest of student community. |
