According to press release, the supply workers engaged in Baglihar H.E project have criticized the anti-worker policy adopted by the management of Jaiparkash Associated thereafter not conceeding the supply workers for payment retrenchment compensation. They said that the daily wagers of the project have been considered for the retrenchment compensation which is step motherly treatment out with the supply workers. They said that both daily wagers and supply workers are doing same work in Baglihar Project but the J.P company is ignoring the supply workers in respect of payment of compensation whereas the supply workers have also worked hard in completion of Baglihar project stage -I and the stage-II is at the verge of completion. They have urged upon the Labour Commissioner J&K to direct the management of Jaiparkash associates to provide payment of retrenchment compensation to supply workers whose EPF are being deducted by the company under labour law.
