Pak detainee to be repatriated soon | | | Early Times Report
rajouri, Feb. 17: Following instructions from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Rajouri police is going to repatriate a Pakistan national who was arrested in Nowshera of Rajouri, later tried and also convicted in the district will be handed over to the Pakistan authorities soon as his sentence was completed. Dr Haseeb Mughal while confirming the matter said that Pakistani national will be handed over Pakistan authorities from Bagha Border after clearance /intimation from Pakistan government. As per police case one Azgar Ali s/o Chirag Din r/o Pattan Sharief (Zhandaballa) in Bhawal Nagar district in Punjab (Pakistan) was arrested by the personnel of 5 Sikh Light Infantry unit manning the LoC in Lam sector on July 22, 2012 and later was handed over to police at Lam Police Post for further investigation. "The Pakistani national was booked under 2/3 Egress & Internal Movement (control) Ordinance (E&IMCO) in FIR No 142/2012 and investigation was started and a challan was produced in the court at Nowshera, police case said. It added that during trial he was convicted by the court in the month of April,2013 and was awarded one year jail along with a fine of Rs 100 and was sent to jail at Kot Bhalwal (Jammu). Police said that last week Rajouri police got a message from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for his repatriation and was brought to Nowshera Police Station recently and waiting for repatriation. |
