Shailendra reviews stock, supply position of Anantnag, Kulgam

ANANTNAG, Feb 17: Commissioner-Secretary Tourism, Shailendra Kumar, who is also the Incharge of Winter Secretariat, Srinagar, has said that State Administration is committed for rehabilitation of flood affected families besides ensuring distribution of relief in transparent manner among them.
He was reviewing stock and supply position of Anantnag and Kulgam districts at an officers' meetings held at Anantnag and Kulgam today.
The Commissioner-Secretary also took stock of the relief and rehabilitation measures taken by the district administration for those affected by the recent devastative floods.
The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Mr. Tasaduq Jeelani briefed the Commissioner-Secretary about the measures taken by district administration for restoration of power and water supply, road connectivity, health care facilities in the effected villages. He said the illegal constructions raised on the banks of Bringi nallah, Arpath, Lidder, Vashov and Jhelum have been demolished.
While briefing about the stock and supply position of the district, Tasaduq Jeelani said that 135000 quintals of rice, 1300 quintals of Wheat are available at FCI Godown of the district. He said 41370 quintals of rice allocation for district Anantnag has been lifted and distributed among the consumers. He said 791 quintals of Atta and 3773 quintals of Sugar have also been distributed so far in the district.
Regarding availability of cooking gas, he said 30,000 LPG cylinders stands distributed among the consumers of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner said that 07 Disaster Management Centres have been established at Badragund, Levdoora, Qazigund, Checki Wangund, Toll Post, Lower Munda and Zig Post on Srinagar-Jammu national highway where 74 quintals of Rice, 35 quintals of Atta, 35 quintals of Sugar and 5250 litres of K. oil have been stocked to meet out requirements in case of any emergency.
He asked the District Development Commissioner Anantnag to send a proposal for renovation and repairs of the Sports Stadium of Anantnag for which Rs. 08 lakhs stands already been allotted.
