Two militant hideouts busted in Poonch, Reasi | | | Jammu, June 25: Security forces today claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition from two hideouts busted today in Poonch and Reasi districts of Jammu province. "On specific information, the Special Operation Group (SOG) in Poonch alongwith Mendhar Police and 21 Punjab troops this afternoon launched a search operation, police sources said. Sources said that during search operation in the general area of Deri Forest in Mendhar of Poonch district, the troops recovered old dump of arms and ammunition including one AK -56, two Grenades, two AK-56 magazines and two pouches. " The police team was led by Sheezan Bhat DySP (Ops), Shahid Nahiem-SDPO Mendhar, Inspr Anzir Mir SHO PS Mendhar and Amit Gupta ASP Poonch under the supervision of S Jatinder Singh Johar-SSP Poonch, police said. Police sources said that a case under FIR 80/2015 u/s 120-RPC, 7/25 of Arms Act stands registered and investigations are on. Meanwhile police sources added that in a separate similar incident security forces recovered one AK-47, two magazines, 30 rounds, one radio set, two ammunition pouches, one knife, three blankets and two cooking utensils from a hideout busted in Mahore of Reasi district. |
