Singh Club Akhnoor wins by 22 runs

JAMMU, June 25 : Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor today made it a fine 22 runs win against United Cricket Club (UCC) to strengthen their position in the league round of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup Tournament at KC Public School ground, here. Earlier, Singh Club won the toss and decided to bat first. The whole side bowled out for 110 runs in 15.5 overs of the 20 overs game. In reply, UCC bowled out for 88 runs in 19 overs.
Dilawar Singh and Deepak were top scorers from Singh Club with 35 and 27 runs in their respective accounts. From UCC, Vinod emerged as most successful bowler with three wickets while Mithun, Sanju and Rajesh shared two wickets each. Later, UCC lost all their wickets for 88 runs in 19 overs. Sumit Dhar made highest 27 runs. Skipper and slow bowler, Sham Singh Langeh remained the most successful bowler from Singh Club, who took four wickets. Sunny took two wickets. For his match winning spell, Sham Singh Langeh was declared man of the match. Today’s match officiated by Rajinder Singh and Bunty Chib as umpires while Honey Chib was scorer.
