Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 25: To give practical shape to its vicious designs against India Pakistan has planted trees on International Border so that nothing can be visible from this side.
The plantation of trees has been a defence strategy of Pakistan and its rangers which is engaged in a proxy war with India in J&K for last over 25 years and has pushed in infiltrators from across though IB and LoC continuously over these years.
Though India tried to fence the IB and LoC Pakistan created impediments in it by resorting to border firing to disturb the same. Over some years back the border at Chmliyal was naked and every thing was visible from across. People visiting Chamliyal to participate in the Baba Chamliyal mela could easily see the celebrations across the border, which continue for a week. However over last some years things have changed on this border totally and there is nothing visible from across as Pakistan has planted trees on entire border across Zero Line and it has been converted into a total jungle now so that one can't see what is happening across the border.
According to defence experts planting of trees is a great strategy of Pakistan as this way the troops from this side can't easily see what is happening across as it has been a usual thing for Pakistan now to push the armed desperados inside this territory from across and taking full advantage of the jungle which has been grown across the zero Line. The Pak infiltrators can easily take the advantage of the dense jungle and sneak into Indian territory.
Experts said with the thick jungle across the IB there is no visibility across and the Pakistanis are free to do any activity. As already Pakistan has taken lot of advantage of deep jungles across LOC from Sunderbani to Gurez in Kashmir Valley where from it pushed the armed desperados and militants in this part of the country during last 26 years and created a lot of blood shed, planting of trees along IB has also been a part of the long strategy on part of Pakistan, say experts.
They said Pakistan can't be trusted as it has continuously indulged in anti India activities right from 1947. And over two years back it had dug a tunnel across the IB in Samba Sector which the Indian troops could not detect till it was near completion.
Experts said that as there is no visibility across the border it is difficult to watch the activities of Pak army and Rangers by the Indian troops and India should also adopt the same strategy so that Pak plans of sneaking armed desperados are thwarted completely.
During the handing over of Chadder at Chamliyal BOP today when Pak Rangers and civil officers handed over Chadder to BSF authorities, people across the border were watching the same by hiding in the jungle and there was nothing visible from this side.
