Vehicular movement restored partially on national highway

Banihal, June 25: The suspended traffic movement on national highway due to landslides, today restored partially.
According to reports, two vehicles buried under the landslides on highway near Seeri and Ramsoo area on highway and passengers of these vehicles escaped narrowly.
Police reports said that the land slides occurred at more than ten places on highway which includes Seri,Gangroo, Ramsoo, Peera, Panthal, Khooni Nullah, Karool, Makerkote and some other places resulting the closure of Jammu Srinagar highway today.
Officals said that more than hundreds of vehicles are stranded in between Peera and Chinani on the different parts of the highway which converted in to traffic Jam now and after the clearance of slides it takes traffic police to hours to clear the traffic Jam.
Station master Banihal Railways Baseer Ahmed when contacted said that the work of repair is going on near Hiller were the track floating and it is expected that the repair work is completed up to this evening if weather permits.
Bovine smuggler held, six animals rescued

Jammu, June 25: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers, Nagrota police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of one bovine smuggler and rescuing six bovines which were being smuggled towards valley.
Police sources said that last night during a naka checking a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JKO2BK-1966 was intercepted at Bantalab.
"The vehicles was found loaded with six bovines which were rescued by the police while smuggler namely Mohammad Aslam of Lale-da-Bagh Satwari was arrested on the spot, police sources said
Police sources said a case under FIR no 126/15 u/s 188 of RPC and 3/5 PCA Act stands registered against accused and further investigation are on.
SDRF rescue three persons

Rajouri, June 25: Rajouri police with the help of SDRF team members today rescued three persons in the early morning hours of today who were trapped in the flash floods on the intervening night of June 25 & 25 while crossing the river.
Police sources said that Muneer Hussain S/O Wali Mohd, Mukhtar Ahmed S/O Maqbool Husssain and Zulfqar Ahmed S/O Maqbool all residence of village Androllah under the jurisdiction of Rajouri police station trapped in the flash flood, while crossing the river near Dhanwan, Chingus alongwith 10 animals. SDRF team along with inspector Yashpal Singh, SHO rushed to spot. After hectic struggle & by using ropes all the three precious human life were saved by police.
