Early Times Report doda , Apr 22 : Continuing its staunch drive against bovine smuggling in District Doda, police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of two smugglers and rescuing two animals from the clutches during a naka at Pul Doda. "The accused have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed S/o Ahad Sheikh of Kharote Bhagwah and Tanveer Ahmed Khan S/o Mohammad Ramzan Khan of Pundal Kashtigarh of Doda, police sources said.. Police sources said, "During a naka checking Police party of Police Post Pul Doda under jurisdiction of Police Station Doda intercepted two above mentioned bovine smugglers and rescued two bovine from the clutches when they were smuggling the animals from Doda to Kashmir Valley on foot. "As the duo failed to provide any required document for the inter-district transportation of animals issued from district authorities and thus they were arrested on the spot, police sources added. Sources said that a case under FIR No: 67/2016 u/s 188 RPC 3 PC Act stands registered at Police Station Doda against the accused and further investigation is in progress. |
