Mehbooba accuses media of portraying Kashmir negatively

Anantnag, May 15: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday accused National electronic media of portraying Kashmir negatively and creating a wave of hatred against innocent people.
Addressing a public gathering here at Dailgam Anantnag, Mehbooba said, "If ten masked boys throw stones, media picks it and shows to whole world but you known our 23 year old Ather ranked second in IAS examination, Hutmurah girl begged scholarship from London school as she is a brilliant artist so Kupwara girl is youngest pilot of the country but it never interests national electronic media," she said while accusing them of portraying Kashmir negatively.
She said that once the media will show the positive side of state they will leave all chances of abusing Kashmiris.
"If they will show our positive side they will not get any chance to abuse Kashmiris," she added.
She said that those people are being discussed, displayed and debated in TV studios because of which a wave of hate against Kashmiris grows in the country.
Charging politicians of deceiving Kashmiris since 1947, she said that her father was the lone politician who never deceived people instead worked day and night to remove their sufferings.
She said that for healing the inflicted and removing the sufferings of people, her late father Mufti Mohmmad Sayed joined hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Claiming Anantnag district is known as 'district of Mufti, Mehbooba said people here opted to support her father and mainstream politics when it was not so easy. Terming the establishment of medical colleges part of collation government's 'agenda of alliance', she hoped that the rest decisions whether related to defense Ministry or others will be implemented.
"Once my father told me Jitender Singh, Minister in Prime Minister's office is a nice person so I hope, he will help me getting the agenda of alliance implemented," she said.
On lighter note, she in her beginning she asked Union Health Minister to learn Urdu. "We have started learning Hindi now you start learning Urdu," she said. Minister replied positively by saying this is also a benefit of our collation. Chief Minister also praised Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Syed Aabid Rashid Shah and SSP Anantnag Abdul Jabbar for their honesty and hard work.
She also asked the Union Ministry to sent back IAS wife of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag on deputation. "Why don't you sent back the wife of our DC Shab back on deputation," Mehbooba repeated twice during her speech.
