Kishtwar, May 15: The people of Kishtwar are pinning hope for fulfillment of developmental aspirations o the common people in tomorrow's District Development Board Meeting for Kishtwar District which is schedule to be held at New Deputy Commissioner Office Kishtwar at 2 PM under the chairmanship o Minister for Health and Medical Education Bali Baghat. Kishtwar District with outlet plan of Rs. 135 Cr this year lacks basic facilities in terms of poor conditions of road, poor health facilities, shortage of staff in government schools, water crises due to depleted water resources while at the same time the corruption and lack of delivery system during one year tenure of PDP-BJP coalition will remains the key agenda for the opposition parties to grill the government.
As per the details available with "Early Times" the District Development Board meeting which is earlier schedule for tomorrow morning will now be held in the afternoon and many top leaders including Leader o Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, MoS in PMO Dr.Jatindra Singh, Chairman State Women Commission Nayeema Ahmed Majoor, MLC Dr.ShahnazGanie and several other top ranked bureaucrats will not attend the schedule meeting that caste the shadow over the meeting as well as is highlighting the callous approach of top ranked politicians with regard to their approach in discussing and highlighting the public importance issues as DDB meetings are key for setting the developmental agenda of the Districts.
The corruption issues highlighted by the "Early Times" from time to time including carriage scandal in Kishtwar hydraulic Division during 2013, glorifying nexus of father-son duo in R&B Division and PMGSY Division Chatroo, embezzlement of government ration in Marwah Kishtwar, demanding of graft for clearing relief cases, glorifying favoritism and nepotism in education department while making transfers and attachments of influential are some key issues need to be discussed and addressed with coherence measures to bring an end to ongoing corruption in the District.
Meanwhile the security agencies had decided to seal the DDB meeting venue by putting multiple security layers to thwart any attempt of protest threaten by the people of Marwah, Warwan and Dachhan over prevailing absenteeism culture and their demand of establishment of all Tehsil and Sub Divisional level offices at Tehsil Headquarter Marwah as majority of such government offices are running from Kishtwar.
Amid to bring an end to deadlock, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan held several meetings with the angry people and assured that all the demands raised by them will be addressed on top priority, but despite DC Kishtwar assurances, the suspense continues as many people informed the "Early Times" that they will go ahead with peaceful protest call and will tied black badges around their arms. The BJP leaders from Marwah, Warwan&Dachhan though has decided not to support the protest call, but leaders from ruling party PDP extended its full support to the protest call along with Congress and National Conference. They also submitted memorandum to various political representatives including to National Conference MLC Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo highlighting the various issues which the angry people demanded from MLC Kichloo to raise all these issues in tomorrow's DDB meeting.
