Jammu, May 15: Allegedly harassed by University authorities, an aspirant and former contractual lecturer at Udhampur Campus, Dr Rajni Sharma has finally knocked the doors of President of India, Prime Minister, Ministry of HRD and Commission for Women. Dr Rajni Sharma had worked as a contractual lecturer in Udhampur Campus, University of Jammu from August 21, 2012 to September 28, 2015. "On September 2015, I appeared for the interview conducted by Jammu University for the Udhampur campus. The Interview committee was consisted of the HOD Prof Falendra K Sudan against whom I had filed an FIR for bribery", she alleged adding that the professor was suspended, and get reinstated after he apologized before the JU administration. "In 2016 University rewarded Prof Falendra, by appointing his HoD, Economics, who allegedly demanded bribe for conducting her viva in 2017", she alleged, adding that in 2016 Prof. Sudan gone biased against her and with the help of Prof Jasbir Singh ensured that I would not be selected which they was clear from the marks gave me during the interview. She said that in the interview, VC's nominee and HoD, Economics Prof Sudan gave very negligible marks to her. "While fighting against injustice done by JU with me, I was shocked, when I came to know that number of scholars like Akhil Bhatt, SheetalVerma and Raj Choudary and other scholars are silently being harassed by the JU authorities", she said, and added that know the matter is under consideration before the State Commission for Women. "Justice will be done by the commission", she hoped. Earlier, for want of justice she had approached Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Governor J&K, President of India, Ministry of HRD, State Vigilance Commission, State vigilance organization, Grievance to CM J&K, Higher education Minister J&K, National Commission for Women India and State Commission for women J&K and also registered a complaint through email to (talk to PM) on dated 04/04/2016. "State Commission for Women, SVC and VOJ are still ray of hope for me", she added. |
