Ration Supply, Water, Development still in shambles: Sham 5/15/2016 11:06:51 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 15: Senior Vice President and Former Minister Congress Sham Lal Sharma alleged that PDP-BJP government has again turned out to be a complete failure in all fronts. Most parts of Akhnoor are reeling under acute water and ration supply but the government has neither take any effective step to solve the problem. Addressing monthly meeting of Congress Committe at Chowki Choura Zone, he said the Chowki Choura area in Akhnoor Constituency is basically Kandi area and for agricultural purposes it is dependent on Rains. Due to inadequate rate of rains inhabitants weren't able to do farming and there is scarcity of feed and fodder for the animals. On account of this drought like situation, people are suffering very badly. He exhorted on government that the people of the area should be given free ration and supply of feed and fodder for the animals, so that people over come from this worst situation. Some development projects viz Road from Chowki Choura to Queer, Flood protection project for which previous Central Government had sanctioned an amount of Rs 14 Crores, Chak Dam, Lift Irrigation. He said that it is astonishing that works on these projects have either been not undertaken or the progress of some of them has become stand still. Attacking BJP Govt., he alleged that the shortage of ration in Jammu region speaks about the insensitivity and callousness of the authorities. He said there is shortage of Ration especially Rice, Sugar and Flour in Government depots all across the state. Sham also said that there is no supply of ration from last 7 months & Nowadays there is total shortage of Rice & Flour as some depots have no supply of Ration and some are providing Ration below 35 kgs which is against the preset guidelines of the Government. He regretted that the PDP-BJP government totally failed to sort out the shortfalls in this regard and was making false claims whereas it failed to provide sugar and ration to the people even as per the existing scales since it came to power.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
