Jammu, May 31: Lawrence Public School students emerged as overall winners in the 8th District level championship organised by J&K Sports Speedball Championship.
The students won twenty five medals in this district championship out of which there were five gold medals, seven silver medals and thirteen bronze medals. The gold medals were won by Vishal Puri, Fiza Choudhary, Gauri Manhas, Varda Devi, Rajwardhan Singh. The silver medals were won by Rayyan Ahmed Mir, Vasu Sharma, Apoorva Sharma, Afaaf Imtiaz, Koushika Manhas, Shohaib Manhas, Sajid Ali. The bronze medals were won by Farhat John, Shivnandan Sharma, Sumit Kumar, Mohamad Samee, Nazia Choudhary, Vishal Singh, Akarshan Kasyal, Sneha Salathia, Irfan Ahmed, Nevadita Sharma, Fahid, Danish Choudhary, Priyanshu Dhar.
The championship was officiated by Rhea Tikku, Amit Kaur, Ankit Sharma and Aditya Rajput. The students were presented their medals and certificates by Prof Dhyan Chand, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu. The Headmistress Lawrence Public School, Shivani Joshi while congratulating the medal winners appreciated their coach Sunny Nanda and trainer Anmol Seghal for training the students. |
