BJP MLA who draws no salary has many schemes to make 'illegal money'

SUNDERBANI, May 31: Pursuing with his self-styled image of "the lion of the jungle", the BJP MLA from Nowshera, Ravinder Raina, who claims to be an honest person for not drawing salary from the legislature as the MLA, has many schemes under his belt to make the illegal money.
In a recent disclosure, the said MLA playing foul with the MGNREGA schemes has embarked upon a novel strategy to aid his relatives, close associates and his next kins.
The people of the Nowshera constituency of tehsil Sunderbani and district Rajouri have lamented that besides unleashing a reign of terror in the area, the concerned MLA has raised illegal constructions at the houses of his relatives in village Lamberdi from where he himself is a resident.
"The MLA after making an illicit use of the money released from the MGNREGA has given undue benefit to his relatives by making four-wall compounds of the houses of his relatives which add to the illegal encroachment of the land also besides providing them money and material, "said one of the social leader of the area in
Nowshera constituency.
He said that MLA while doing the clandestine job hired the labour from the outside constituency in order not to fall prey to the knowledge of the gullible people of the area.
"He hired the labour from the outside for constructions of the four walls of the houses of his relatives, "he said.
The people of the area also disclosed that the 'terror MLA 'had even had served a diktat to his pupil in the area while fleecing them to submit their Job Cards of the MGNERGA assuring them that the money would be transferred to their accounts .
"Many gullible people fell into his trap and he used their Job Cards for his personnel use and got the money transferred to his relatives and close associates," said the social leader.
On March 29 large number of the people of the area had gheraoed the residential house of the MLA and had demanded his resignation as the MLA .
They also allege that amount running in lacs have been siphoned off from MGNREGA by the MLA to do the illicit work which they claim to be the money sanctioned by the government of India for the people of the constituency. The misdeeds ofg the Nowshera MLA have been already reported in two major Hindi newspapers of the state Viz Dainik Jagran and Amar Ujala on March 29 itself that speaks about his high headedness and the deceit towards his people .
The people of the area who allege to be living under the constant threat of the MLA have appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to rein in the illegal activities of Ravinder Raina.
They have also demanded a vigilance enquiry into his all past and present misdeeds.
