People demand immediate closure of pesticide unit 6/26/2016 10:19:30 PM Early Times Report SAMBA, June 26: People of Samba demanded government and district administration to close a pesticide unit with the name and style of Ravi Crop Chemicals in Phase I, SIDCO Complex Samba. They alleged that the effluent from Ravi Crop Pesticide Industries is flowing into the drains without any check which is hazardous for health. Chemical mix water is dangerous to the life of people and animals. A team of State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) collected a sample of water from this industry and sent a laboratory for testing. SPCB already wrote a letter to the higher authorities against said unit for not following the norms of SPCB.
