Srinagar June 26: : Three persons have been booked for allegedly vandalising the district hospital, Kishtwar. Official sources said medical superintendent of district hospital, Kishtwar, vide his letter No MS/DHK/331-334 dated June 26,2016 addressed to SHO of Police Station, Kishtwar, informed him that one Mohammad Ashraf, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Bunastan, Kishtwar, and his accomplices namely Sajjad Ahmed, Naseer Ahmed, etc of Bunastan, who were accompanying a patient namely Farooq Ahmed Gani, son of Ghulam Nabi Gani on June 25, 2016 at 8.30 PM have vandalized the emergency section of the hospital.He said they had broken the doors of IPD block, window glasses and had tried their best to damage the public property and threatened the hospital staff thereby causing damages to the hospital property and create sense of insecurity amongst the hospital staff. He had sought registration of an FIR against the accused. Acting on his complaint, police registered an FIR against the accused under section 2/3 of Public Property Prevention of Damaged Act and 447 A, 427, 504, 506 RPC. However, no arrest had been made till last reports came in. Dy. SP HQ, Kishtwar, Touseef Ahmed said a manhunt had been launched to arrest the accused who were absconding after committing the crime. When contacted, the medical superintendent said Hospital Staff was doing its duty when the incident took place. He said that doctors on duty were already taking care of two critical patients including the one who had suffered a massive cardiac arrest when the accused vandalized the hospital. Their patient was being given proper treatment, but they went on rampage without any reason, he claimed. |
