In 'historic' meeting, BJP leaders fail to utter a word for CRPF martyrs | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 26: State unit of BJP today claiming to create history by organizing meeting of 14 district committee but the party leaders, who were present in so-called history meeting, have not utter even a single word as condolences to eight CRPF jawans who attained martyrdom at Pampore on Saturday evening. Shockingly when BJP leaders were conveying historical meeting at Jammu, bodies of the martyr CRPF men were being dispatched to their native places but leaders and workers of so-called "nationalist" have not spared even a single second to pay tributes to the cops. Leaders and workers were resorted to clapping and slogan shouting when it was announced that first time a historical meeting has been held, knowing the fact that bodies of martyr cops were still at Srinagar. Some eye-witnesses said that instead of remembering the martyr cops, leaders and workers were seen indulged in sycophancy to keep each other in good humours. According to a handout issued by the party, BJP created history on Sunday by holding the meetings of District Working Committees in 14 Districts, wherein party senior leaders and office bearers had been deputed to address these meetings and respective District Presidents had convened meetings in their respective districts. Each meeting started with party's tradition of lighting of lamp, garlanding the portraits of its ideologues and Bharat Mata, besides reciting of National Anthem/Sangathan Geet. Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Ashok Koul, state general secretary organization along with State Secretary Sanjay Baru, Additional Office Secretary Jugal Gupta and District President Ayodhya Gupta, addressed the meeting. Ashok Koul, said that these meetings may also be called as 'Review Meetings' in which the working at different levels is discussed and future course of action to further strengthen the organization is discussed and strategy finalized in order to be more associated with the masses and work for the amelioration of their problems. |
