Curfew imposed in Rajouri

Jammu, Sept 14: Authorities clamped curfew in Rajouri town after some miscreants damaged a few shops and resorted to stone pelting.
"A clash broke out between members of two communities over some issue,'' a police official said. Police sources said that tension gripped Rajouri on Eid day after which some miscreants damaged shops at Gujjar Mandi and Dhki Market.
Reports said that the incident occurred in the Palma village of Rajouri. After getting the information DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, Johny Williams SSP Rajouri, Rajeshwar Singh Jasrotia along with Brigade Commander reached the spot.
Later, some miscreants started stone pelting at City Chowk Rajouri and the road was blocked at Panja Chowk.
"Before the situation could take an ugly turn, Additional deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Saleem imposed curfew in the town," said a police source adding that Police are monitoring the situation, which as of now is under control.
