Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 14: The Ministry of Home Affairs is working on a plan-B to ensure that vicious cycle of protests comes to an end in the Valley.
Sources told Early Times that Government of India has asked Army to assist the Jammu and Kashmir Police to restore normalcy in the Valley, where Pakistan sponsored militants, stone pelters and separatists have vitiated the atmosphere and have taken people hostage for the past 68-days.
Insiders revealed that presence of Army personnel has increased manifold in south Kashmir areas, which have witnessed large scale protests and violence. "Besides involving the Army, the sleuths of Counter Insurgency Kashmir (CIK) have cracked the whip on separatist aides, who maintain a low profile. Investigations have revealed that these aides have played a vital role in distributing money among the miscreants and orchestrating the street protests," sources added.
They said, "Had the government not imposed curfew on the Eid day (Tuesday), the aides of separatists had planned to instigate people to march through the streets and indulge in vandalism and hooliganism."
Sources claimed that separatists had planned to repeat 2010 when Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq had led a march after Eid prayers and had left a "trail of destruction" behind.
Insiders revealed that administration and law enforcing agencies have been asked by the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure that normalcy in Kashmir should be restored within a week's time and stern action should be taken against the people who are instigating youth to hit the streets and indulge in hooliganism. "The aides of separatists who have been arrested during the past few days are believed to have been involved in distributing money among the miscreants and stone pelters," they added.
Sources claimed that separatists not giving any relaxation in the protest calendar, even on Eid-day, and calling for UNO chalo have pushed people to the wall. "One fails to understand what separatists are up to and what they want? They also know it very well that Azadi is an illusion. They just want to appease their bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) and nothing more," said a politician.
He said, "Since the day Army has appeared in volatile areas in south Kashmir situation has improved in these areas and people have heaved a sigh of relief. It seems life would return to normal in Kashmir within a few days as MHA has devised a plan-B to deal with the Pakistani agents and their masters."
