Jammu, Sept 14: The authorities concerned in Jammu University seem to be non-serious to start admission to M Phil and PhD courses for session 2016-17. According to a press release, examination for fourth semester of various PG courses were conducted by the university in May end, but despite the lapse of three months, notification for admission to higher courses had not been issued by the administration. "Examination for fourth semester of PG courses was held in May ending and as per choice based credit system, the result was to be declared within a week, ie in the first week of June", sources said, and added that unfortunately, the administration was not issuing notification for combined M Phil, and PhD course. "The delay in beginning of these courses itself reveals administrative bankruptcy in JU administration," sources said. "Unfortunately, nothing is being done for academic activities," sources said, and added that session for PG courses had begun in month of July, but lecturers for various departments had not been appointed by the university. "In the main and offsite campuses, contractual lecturers are being engaged for the past few years, but this year students have to wait", they said and alleged that the present administration was trying its best to adjust the blue-eyed at choicest posts, but nothing was being done for academics. |
