Baramulla (Uri), Sep 19: A day after the bloody attack on the brigade headquarters at Uri in which 18 jawans have been killed and over 30 injured, a high level team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reached Uri to take stock of the situation and investigate various aspects of the attack reportedly by the militants of JeM, a militants organization operating from Pakistan. The day after attack, various Pakistan made items, weapons have been recovered from the site of attack including AK-47 rifle 4, UBGL 4, UBGL grenades 37, hand grenades 5, GPS 2, Matrix sheets 2, Radio sets 2, food packets, medicines and other war like stores which will be thoroughly examined. While as sources said that, in the aftermath of attack, security has been tightened across the north Kashmir to deal with anti militancy operations as yesterday four foreign militants had carried out a major attack on army which left 18 Jawans dead, and many injured. Each and every private vehicle is being searched thoroughly as there were inputs about the presence of militants in the forests areas as yesterday ultras had crossed the Line of Control (LoC) from Uri side, sources informed. However it is also learnt that Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service (Karwaan-e Amman) has also passed on from either sides of the Line of Control (LoC) without any interruption.Meanwhile ET has learnt that, after the attack army had launched search operations in various densely forested areas to nab the suspected militants and the operation has been called off till the last reports came in. There was an information that, many militants groups had tried to infiltrate to this side of LoC , but where pushed back to other side of Line of Control. |
